A man will appear in court today charged after allegedly stabbing another man in Sydney’s north west overnight.
About 12.30am (Friday 8 January 2021), emergency services were called to an internet café on Rowe Road, Eastwood, after reports of a man had been stabbed.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command were told two men – aged 28 and 58 – were involved in a verbal argument before a fight ensued and the older man was stabbed in the stomach.
The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The younger man, from Eastwood, was arrested and taken to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.
